The Last Avatar
The Five Elements of Nature:
Water ~ Earth ~ Fire ~ Air ~ Aether (Spirit)
She orbits the son¹
Elements in his core²
Crucial to life
Genetically divine³
…
Above water, he moonwalks
Smooth sailing, her Captain
Anchored in her heart
Ten fingers on deck
…
Through fire, he struts
Heat waving, her Sun
Fueled with her love
Ether beams from rays⁴
…
On earth, he toils
Steel maraging, her NiFe⁵
Grounded by his nature
365 days of harvest
…
In air, he floats
V12 soaring, her Northstar
Winged in his genes
Star bright like Sirius
…
He centres the heavens
Where protons attract
Repelling electrons
Matter of the spirit⁶
The Last Avatar is a poem about an extraordinary human who can manoeuvre the five elements of nature through the divine power of true love.
Earth (she) revolves around the Sun (son) in 365 days.
The Earth’s core is almost entirely made of two elements: Iron (Fe) and Nickel (Ni).
The nucleus is at the core of every cell and contains genetic material (DNA).
In chemistry, ether is a flammable liquid.
Steel made from iron and nickel (NiFe) is called maraging steel; it possesses superior strength and toughness without losing ductility. In Yoruba, nife translates to ‘have love’.
Atoms are basic building blocks of matter. An atom has a central nucleus (consisting of positively charged protons and neutrons) surrounded by negatively charged electrons. Since opposite charges attract, protons and electrons attract each other.
